Brighter Days x Polka x Goo: DJ Koolt, Anah, Ebbs N Flow, Pjenné

Brighter Days, Polka, and Goo are teaming up for a special event at one of the city’s most cherished party spots. Across twelve hours, The Bridge Hotel will play host to a mix of returning and debut guest artists from a diverse range of musical backgrounds and scenes. Hailing from Montevideo, Uruguay, we’re very excited to bring you the return of the legendary DJ Koolt. A figure regarded by many as the father of the Uruguayan underground scene and one of the co-founders of the world renowned Phonotheque club in Montevideo. Praised by his peers for his masterful technique & expansive record collection, Koolt’s DJ sets traverse genres and push boundaries. Prepare for a three-hour journey going deep into the wormhole with the maestro. Adding to the excitement, we are also joined by Anah, Cymatix Co founder and Loud Contact resident. Originally from Portugal but based in Barcelona, Anah has been collecting records since 2003 and began her career as a touring Drum & Bass DJ in 2005. In 2016 she put her DnB roots behind her and started her new project, focusing her sound on 90s underground House, Techno and Electro to much success. We eagerly anticipate her debut Eora performance. Making the trip up from Naarm, Ebbs N Flow will be bringing their highly touted live set. Those who experienced the duo of Will Holden (of Hybrid Man) and Dashiell (of Menage) previously in Eora know it’s an unforgettable experience. For those uninitiated, strap in, it’s an absolute doozy! Rounding out our guests from down south is none other than Pjenné, the Naarm-based DJ, radio broadcaster, curator and label manager, who is a gateway to leftfield ambient, dance and electronica from so-called Australia and around the world. Pjenné is well-versed in creating personable and intimate settings, seamlessly blending hypnotic soundscapes into captivating narratives, showcasing her skill as both a selector and storyteller. On the local front we’re joined by the legendary DJ Simon Caldwell, fresh off a Panorama Bar appearance, Club 77 resident Mazzacles, BeAvantGarde’s Accent’, as well as our own residents Lewba, Jonathon and Bichue.
