Tepid Rhythm is proud to return to you for another live journey of beautiful dance music. On Friday November 8th we will be taking over one of our most beloved spaces in Naarm, Angel Music Bar. With its intimate upstairs dance floor powered by a Funktion One Soundsystem, Angel Bar arguably hosts one of the best rooms for underground dance music in the city. We are also excited to present our very first international guest to Tepid Rhythm. Charles Moon is a multi-faceted DJ and curator. Hailing from Austin, TX, he now splits his time between LA and Mexico City. Charles is a global ambassador for his eclectic soundscapes and renowned selections behind the decks, having made numerous appearances in NYC’s iconic The Lot Radio. Charles also arrives to Australia after packed European summer which saw him perform at Panorama Bar and Melt Festival alongside Refuge Worldwide’s Richard Akingbehin. In addition to his sought after DJ sets, Charles has made a name for himself on the party circuit, founding the innovative ‘Thank You For Sweating’ (TYFS) imprint in Austin, TX. TYFS has hosted talented artists and selectors Dreamcastmoe, AceMo & Ron Like Hell. Charles is also a Grammy nominated producer/sound engineer, credited on Big Baby Dram which received a Gold record certification. Most recently, Charles produced pixelated/fighter pilot on Hamond’s ‘Pirate Radio’ album. With such a creative energy, we are excited to welcome Charles to Melbourne and look forward to hearing all of the music he brings with him. Supporting Charles Moon is an icon of the Melbourne dance community. DJ and Melbourne legend Colette has indeed devoted a lifetime of involvement in the local music community. With a passion for a get down, she first appeared at the impeccably curated Inner Varnika Festival in 2017 and has secured local support roles for touring artists such as Noname, The Internet, Mr Scruff, Throwing Shade & Eliza Rose. A couple of coveted interstitials later, a cruise in the infamous Bait Shop and a Boiler Room debut in 2023, Colette’s mantra of good times, vibe and dance are key; with bass heavy dance floor jams to smooth grooves, there’s always soul. A resident DJ of the Toff In Town’s ‘Now Here This, and with upcoming performances at major festivals Echo Beach and Let The Eat Cake, we couldn’t be more excited to have her involvement as she continues to inspire more and more dancers across the city each year. We can’t wait to pair these creative performers together and we think they will combine flawlessly at Angel Bar on November 8.
