Sydney songstress and multi-instrumentalist Ella Haber brings her long-awaited debut album ‘through blood, like kin’ (Planet Trip Records) to Melbourne, joined by her powerhouse 7-piece band ahead of their Strawberry Fields debut that weekend. She’ll be joined by Naarm soul icon Nkechi Anele and funk aficionados DJ Finn Rees (Close Counters), promising a soul-stirring night of groove, community and connection. Crafted over five years with close collaborator Yianni Adams and blurring the genres of jazz, folk, alternative soul and psychedelic R&B, 'through blood, like kin' pays reverence to the profound and marvellous loves that fuel and define our lives outside of romantic monogamous partnerships.
