Azymuth have been reshaping the sound of Brazilian music since 1973. Often – and rightly – celebrated as the godfathers of Brazilian jazz-fusion, their pioneering jazz-funk sound has taken the trio countless stages across the world – from Glastonbury to the Montreux Jazz Festival. With a new album due in 2025, that long-running journey brings Azymuth to Potato Head Beach Club at Desa Potato Head Bali. Joining them is Sabrina Malheiros, carrying the soul of contemporary bossa nova, and Indra Lesmana — one of Indonesia’s most influential jazz figures, whose career has shaped the country’s modern jazz landscape for over four decades. While Azymuth's lineup has shifted over the course of half a century, their passion for the music they create has never waned. Together, they trace a clear but rarely-trodden line between Brazil and Indonesia’s jazz traditions, bridging continents and generations.
