Gallery Turns 4 - FUKHED, Oots, Human Movement + more

Gallery turns 4!!! On Friday, August 9th we’re taking over Naarm’s Bourke Street Courtyard to celebrate another lap around the sun. Every Bday, we focus on lineups that are Gallery through and through, a snapshot of our roster from the past, present and future. An extra special party means we’ll be bumping in production to make it shine. Please meet our stellar cast of artists for the Naarm leg: Oots, FUKHED, Human Movement, Jai Piccone, Lex and Yollks. Proggy princess Lex will get things rolling with her bubbly mix of bleeps and blorps – an infectious smile paired with an infectious sound. Next up is Northern Rivers-based songwriter/producer Jai Piccone. After releasing 2 EPs with him over the last 12 months we thought it fitting he flexed some of the faster rhythms on his USBs. Don’t let his originals fool you, there’s an untapped palette of dance in Jai’s arsenal. From here we head into UKG and hard house courtesy of Human Movement. With the drop of his Subtle EP imminent and fresh off a tour of New Zealand, he’ll be serving up prime club cuts across a heated 90 minutes. Witness the resurgence of one of Australia’s longest-standing club projects IRL. As we dip into the later hours, Oots takes the reins. A burgeoning star of Naarm’s techno and hard groove scene, Oots has had his tracks played by Skin On Skin, VTSS, Mall Grab, Sam Alfred and DJ Heartstring. Keep an eye out for his Lost Boy EP with tunes rolling out over the next few months. Then it’s time for the hottest profanity on everyone's lips, FUKHED. Riding high off a guest mix on RinseFM with Burna plus sets side by side with XCLUB and I Hate Models, prepare for her brand of high-octane techno that’s capturing thousands upon thousands. On closing duties is Naarm native Yollks – part DJ, part label owner, part club night chief of the city's popular ‘Flux’ parties. Anything bass-heavy, Yollks digs with a lean towards breakbeat, DnB and IDM. Having played with some of the scene's most established cc: HAAi, Aloka and AK Sports, it will be a big way to cap things off. Like we always say, come early and dance til late. Big love, Gallery
