Uruguayan cult favorite Manuel Jelen heads up Angel Music Bar for an exclusive intimate night on his Melbourne debut. We are pleased to announce our upcoming gig on Saturday 14th September with one of the most distinguished artists in the Uruguayan scene, joining Espacio-Tiempo resident LUK for another killer night at one of the most iconic underground bars, Angel Music Bar! Manuel Jelen is a DJ and producer, born and raised in Montevideo in 1994. He embarked on this path as an autodidact full of enthusiasm, out of simple curiosity, without any kind of expectation. However, his journey didn't stop there. It didn't take long for him to dive right into the world of djing. For Manuel, this journey isn't just about creating music or playing records ; it's a never ending quest that describes an endless and constant ongoing exploration and evolution. His contributions extend beyond his personal pursuits, as he actively engages with the vibrant Montevideo music scene. At the heart of this scene lies Phonotheque, a club and record label renowned for its influence on Uruguay’s electronic culture, and also known as the place that helped forge their musical identity. It was here that, besides developing his music, he found great friends and her biggest influences . Manuel Jelen is an emerging artist who has performed at some of the best clubs and festivals of South America and Europe during his tour last year.
