Toni Yotzi Toni is a phenom: a staple of both the festival and club circuit across Australia. Her sets traverse four decades of dance music with frenetic energy and zero compromise; from neon-hued techno and prog to tripped out bass and dubstep, trap, and up-to-the-minute club tracks from the boundless fount of domestic talent she’s ingratiated with across Australia. Having played at some of Australia’s best festivals (Golden Plains, Inner Varnika, Strawberry Fields, Echo Flats, Pitch…), she also played an integral role in putting together Camp Doogs, Western Australia’s premier festival. She’s brought the same curatorial nous to coordinating Dooj parties in Melbourne. Having studied Radio at university, Yotzi felt a strong affinity with RTRFM, Perth’s legendary community radio station, hosting weekly dance program Full Frequency among others. The creative freedom afforded by community radio is a natural fit for Yotzi’s free-wheeling sensibilities, and it’s something she’s continued in Melbourne – she’s a fixture on Skylab and community radio station-turned-restaurant Hope St Radio. She’s toured internationally, performed on Boiler Room and guested on NTS multiple times, as well The Lot Radio, Beats in Space and Noods. Bex Bex is the vibrant force blending the worlds of visual artistry and electronic music, solidifying her presence as a luminary in Naarm's underground music scene. Bex has developed a refined sound during her career as a DJ, which has seen her play alongside artists such as DJ Masda, Onur Özer, Sugar Free, Eversines, Binh, Ingi Visions, Junki Inoue, Unai Trotti, and more. As a true crate-digging veteran, Bex's passion for underground music culture is palpable. With a deep affinity for 90s and early 2000s tech house and minimal, Bex is on an endless exploration for records that encapsulate the innovative sounds emanating from that era. Her sets are a journey through time, traversing old tech house classics, minimal left-field house, and an infusion of juicy grooves, creating an immersive sonic experience. With an energetic sound that exudes warmth and depth, Bex has the ability to activate all manner of contexts, from soothing, dubby moods at the night’s inception, through to the wonky haze of the afterhours. Her sound has seen her become a fixture at Naarm's most esteemed venues, including Angel Music Bar, Miscellania, Sub Club, Revolver, Rooftop Bar and more. Bex’s influence extends beyond the DJ booth to curate parties which embody her values. Through Send Return, co-run with Hannah D, the pair run events which feature two DJs back-to-back, all-night-long; making a stand against the growing trend of 1-hour sets at events across the country. Bex is also the co-founder of Spincycle, alongside Robbie Ingram aka Terry, a label and event series that pushes the tech house and minimal sounds that originated in the UK and beyond in the late 90s and early 2000s. Building and nurturing community is at the core of Bex's work, and is the driving force for her as the visionary behind Space Cast — a not-for-profit arts initiative that curates and presents collaborations from local Naarm artists and musicians in an online platform as well as through Hannah D Hannah D is a DJ and artist originating from Meanjin (Brisbane), now residing in Naarm (Melbourne) — a city with a dedicated electronic music community that sees her as a go-to for progressive sounds. Through both her music and delicately-blended mixes, Hannah has created a tangible connection around the globe with new age revivalists of the 90s and 00s sound. Aside from her own personal artistry, Hannah heads up TSBU (The Space Between Us), the successful Australian label which has a local focus on proto sounds within the progressive tech space. The TSBU discography already includes a variety of releases from Mabel, Al Dente, Gallery B, and more. 2023 has seen Hannah exceed the high expectations that are associated with her name, with a debut European tour and further additions to the ever-growing TSBU label catalogue - as well as more stellar events under both her ‘Luna Blessings’ (with DJ Luv You) and ‘Send/Return’ (with Bex) event brands. Chocked full of highlights, the first of many ‘business’ trips to Europe included a 5-hour b3b (alongside fellow Weaver artists Mabel & suki) for a sold-out warehouse event in Lyon, debut performances online and in-person in Berlin, Copenhagen and London, and a lasting impression that already has multiple northern hemisphere outfits requesting a return in 2024. She now has her sights firmly set on providing Australian audiences with further exhibitions of her sonic output - a sound that draws inspiration from both the people and places that surround her.
