A night of forward-thinking hip-hop and electronic music, these are Eora’s most exciting artists, harnessing their incredible talents as solo and collaborative musicians. BAYANG (tha Bushranger) has fast-established himself as one of the city’s most prominent new voices. His raging live show and cross-pollination of hip-hop, punk and noise has endeared him to audiences throughout Dharug, Eora and Naarm. ealing is a producer and DJ making music on the forefront of Internet culture, absorbing the sounds of electronic and hip-hop, presenting it on their own terms. Their raucous live set has become a scene staple, a holistic display of their style traversing remixes, edits and their unique original production, selling out the late Shades Bar and supporting Vegyn at Club 77. 20-year-old queer, alt-artist LILPIXIE is taking over the Western Sydney music scene. Beginning on Soundcloud with influences such as ABRA and CLIP, LILPIXIE is redefining the boundaries of rap through their heartfelt lyricism. What originally began as a coping mechanism to heal trauma is now creating waves in the city’s underground. While significant solo artists, their collaborations come together as a sum greater than their parts. Hailed by Acclaim Magazine as “[capturing] the feeling of being terminally online”, ‘KANDINSKYY’ is the first collaborative offering from ealing and BAYANG, a track that pays homage to the halcyon days of DJ Drama and early mixtapes, while also drawing inspiration from the zenith of Memphis phonk. BAYANG and LILPIXIE see eye-to-eye on ‘GANGA’, a fan favourite from mixtape Antarctica seeing both artists share bars on top of bubbly, poppy production from Eora duo AGONY. ealing and LILPIXIE combined forces on ‘On the Block’, a clubby hit from EP Melody Gardens that has already moved dancefloors across the city. Holding the whole evening down is DJ Nazty Gurl, one of the most trusted sources of sound in the city. Artist manager, host of FBi Radio's JUICE, and co-founder of female, non-binary and trans-focused writing camp One Off Traks, Nazty Gurl may be new to the decks but is in no way new to the scene.
